Tinklee's Tamale Pie

  1. Brown hamburger over med-much heat until brown and done, drain grease,, Add tomatoes and tomatoes sauce and turn down to med,
  2. Add l of the seasonings, olives and olive juice, and frozen corn, let cook for about 10min, taste and adjust if needed,
  3. Heat oven to 400F, Grease an 8x8 or 11/2 qt cassarole dish, mix up the box of jiffy cornbread mix according to directions,
  4. Add hamburger mixture to pan, then drop cornbread by spoonfuls over top of the hamburger mixture covering most of top,
  5. sprinkle with shredded cheese, bake until cheese and corn bread are bubbly and golden brown
  6. if someone does not like olives I leave them whole so they can remove them, it really does taste better with the olives juice in it
  7. I make an extra box of cornbread to eat with on the side
  8. serves 4--6
