Caesar-Style Asparagus

  1. Add first 5 ingredients to blender.
  2. With machine running, gradually add oil.
  3. Add 1/4 cup cheese.
  4. Season dressing to taste with pepper.
  5. Bring pot of salted water to boil.
  6. Add asparagus and cook until just tender, about 3 minutes.
  7. Drain.
  8. Cool under cold water and drain.
  9. (Can be prepared 6 hours ahead.
  10. Cover dressing and asparagus separately.)
  11. Arrange asparagus on platter.
  12. Drizzle with dressing.
  13. Sprinkle with croutons and remaining cheese.
