Sausage Stuffing in Apples

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Trim the bottoms of the apples so that they stand sturdy, then cut a "lid" off the top of each one, about half and inch.
  3. Using a knife or melon baller, hollow out the center of each apple, removing the seeds especially.
  4. Toss any edible bits into a mixing bowl.
  5. Toast the bread until slightly crunchy, then slice into small cubes.
  6. Toss bread and remaining ingredients together into the mixing bowl well.
  7. Fill the apples with the pork mixture and bake for 30-45 minutes, unitl the internal temperature is 165 degrees.
