BLT and Blue Cheese Salad
- 14 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 12 teaspoon pepper
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 12 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
- 4 cups lettuce, torn
- 1 medium avocado, peeled, cut into wedges
- 1 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 12 cup onion, sliced 1/8-inch thick, separated into rings
- 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
- 12 cup blue cheese, crumbled
- 8 slices bacon, crisp, crumbled
- In a small bowl stir together all the dressing ingredients.
- Place lettuce on individual plates or serving platter.
- Arrange avocado, tomato, onion and mandarin oranges on the lettuce.
- Sprinkle with blue cheese and bacon.
- Pour dressing over salad.
