Refreshing Garlic Chives and Wakame Simmered with Jako
- 1 bunch Chinese chives
- 5 grams Dried wakame seaweed
- 30 grams Chirimen jako
- 200 ml Water
- 2 tsp Chicken soup stock granules
- 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 dash Szechuan pepper (optional)
- Cut the garlic chives into 5 cm lengths.
- Combine the jako, water, and chicken soup stock granules in a pot and turn on the heat.
- Once it comes to a boil, add the dried wakame and garlic chives.
- Simmer for 2~3 minutes until the wakame is re-hydrated.
- Drizzle with sesame oil.
- Transfer to a dish and sprinkle with Szechuan pepper to taste.

- It's also delicious with pickles.
