Cherry Cheddar Bread

  1. Combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. Combine milk, egg and oil, pour over dry ingredients and stir just enough to dampen.
  3. Gently fold in cherries and cheese.
  4. Pour into greased 9 1/4x9 1/4x2 3/4 inch loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350F (180C).
  6. 55 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
  7. Cool on rack 10 minutes, remove from pan.
  8. Cool completely before serving.
  9. Serve at room temperature, or toasted.
