Apple Cheese Crisp Recipe
- 6 c. (6 medium) sliced, peeled apples
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. rolled oats
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Place apples in ungreased 2-qt casserole.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and lemon juice.
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring c..
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, and brown sugar.
- Using pastry blender or possibly fork, cut in butter till crumbly.
- Sprinkle crumb mix proportionately over fruit.
- Bake at 375 degrees F. for 25 to 35 min or possibly till apples are tender.
- Top with cheese; bake an additional 2 to 3 min or possibly till cheese melts.
- Serves 12.
