Macadamia Nut Chocolate Mousse Pie Recipe

  2. Using electric mixer, beat cream cheese, 2/3 c. sugar and vanilla till creamy.
  3. Add in yolks and beat till smooth.
  4. Fold in melted chocolate chips.

  6. Using clean, dry beaters, beat egg whites and cream of tartar till soft peaks form.
  7. Add in 2/3 c. sugar, gradually, and beat till stiff peaks form.

  9. Gently fold 1/4 of whites into chocolate mix; mix in rest of whites.

  11. Whip 1 c. cream to hard peaks.
  12. Fold cream and nuts into chocolate.
  13. Pour mix into baked pie crust.
  14. Chill at least 6 hrs.
  15. 5.
  16. To serve, beat 1 c. cream and powdered sugar to soft peaks.
  17. Spread over pie.
  18. Garnish with grated chocolate, if you like.
