Rotini Skillet

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to boil for the pasta.
  2. While its heating up, cut the sausage into slices, then in halves.
  3. This helps stretch the sausage.
  4. Cut two heads of broccoli.
  5. Place some water in the bottom of a skillet to steam your broccoli.
  6. Place the lid on top and cook to your desired tenderness.
  7. (Not too soft or it falls apart in the pasta.)
  8. Your water should be boiling.
  9. Dump the box of pasta into the water.
  10. Cook according to package directions.
  11. Once the broccoli is cooked, place in a bowl and add your cut sausage to the skillet.
  12. Usually, these come pre-cooked, so youre just browning these pieces.
  13. Five minutes should do it.
  14. Once pasta is cooked, drain and return to the pot.
  15. Drizzle with olive oil and add the broccoli and sausage.
  16. Add garlic salt and Italian seasoning to taste.
  17. Toss gently and make sure its nicely coated with olive oil and seasoning.
  18. Once youre satisfied with the taste, add a good handful (or two) of the Romano cheese.
  19. Serve with nice crusty bread.
