Meatloaf With Topping
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1-1/2 lb. ground chuck
- turkey
- 1/4 cup tomato juice
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 4 slices bacon slices to lay on top
- Blend together all the meatloaf ingredients until smooth.
- Shape into a loaf and place in a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix together topping ingredients, except for the bacon.
- Pour over meatloaf.
- Lay bacon on top of meatloaf.
- Bake at 350F for 1 hour.
