Stuffed Turkey Mushrooms
- 20 large fresh mushrooms
- 1 tsp. liquid Butter Buds
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/4 lb. lean white meat skinless ground turkey
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. grated nonfat Cheddar cheese or 4 oz. cheese slices, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. lemon pepper
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 2 Tbsp. low-fat Ricotta cheese
- 1/2 c. chunky style spaghetti sauce
- Remove the stems on the mushrooms and chop.
- Heat liquid Butter Buds in a skillet and cook the onion and ground turkey. Add the chopped mushroom stems and other ingredients.
- Cook this mixture about 5 minutes.
- Stuff this mixture into the mushroom caps and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Preheat broiler and place in oven for 2 to 4 minutes or until cheese melts.
- Yields 20 stuffed mushrooms.
- Per serving: .75 fat grams and 33 calories.
