Hot Dog Chili Sauce

  1. Put onions in food processor and grind finely.
  2. You want the onions to disappear in the sauce.
  3. If you don't have a food processor, grate the onions as finely as possible.
  4. Set onions aside.
  5. Cut up hot dogs and place in food processor.
  6. It's OK if there's a little leftover onion still in there!
  7. Grind the hot dogs finely to almost a paste consistency.
  8. You may need to add some water.
  9. If you don't have a food processor, I don't know what to tell you.
  10. Grate them as finely as possible.
  11. Add onions (plus onion juice), ground hot dogs and ground beef into pot over medium heat.
  12. Break up the ground beef as much as possible while browning.
  13. When beef has browned, add tomato paste and stir until well incorporated.
  14. Add remaining ingredients and simmer at least 2 hours.
  15. Serve in buns over your favorite hot dogs with condiments of your choice.
  16. Our favorites are yellow mustard, onions, chili and coleslaw!
