Gingerbread

  1. Mix flour, leavenings, salt and spices in large bowl.
  2. Cream shortening and sugar until light.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  4. Mix molasses and 2 cups water.
  5. Add alternately with dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, beating until smooth. Pour into 2 greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pans.
  6. Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven, about 35 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with whipped cream.
  8. Makes 24 servings.
