21 Alarm Chile Lowfat Recipe

  1. 2 Cans 28oz Crushed Tomatoes 2 tsp.
  2. Oregano 2 tsp.
  3. Cumin 3 Tbsp.
  4. Chili pwdr 2 Tbsp.
  5. Unsweetened cocoa pwdr 2 tsp.
  6. Sugar 1 tsp.
  7. Crushed warm pepper 1 tsp.
  8. Tabasco sauce 1 can 15z kidney beans - rinsed a strainer
  9. In a 2 1/2 qt saucepan cook the meat over medium heat till it is well done, about 6-8 min, stirring frequently to crumble the meat.
  10. Pour off the fat.
  11. With a slotted spoon transfer meat to paper towels to absorb extra saute/fry the onion, garlic, and green pepper with 1/2 c. of the crushed tomatoes for 3 min.
  12. Add in the oregano, cumin, chili pwdr, cocoa pwdr, sugar, warm pepper, and Tabasco sauce, and continue cooking for 3 min more.
  13. Add in the beans, meat, and the remaining crushed tomatoes, and cook together for 25 min over low heat.
  14. YIELD: Makes 8 1-c. servings Each
