Crispy Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
- 5 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tbsp. baking soda
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. dark molasses
- 1/2 c. strong coffee
- Sift together flour, soda, baking pwdr, salt, ginger and cinnamon.
- Cream shortening and sugar gradually; beat till light.
- Add in Large eggs and vanilla.
- Add in molasses and coffee, then sifted dry ingredients; mix well and chill.
