Sesame Fried Chicken (Baked)
- 2 fryer chickens, cut up (2 1/2 lbs. each)
- 1 cup flour
- 34 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 12 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- shortening or oil, to fry
- Mix flour, sesame seeds, paprika, salt, poultry seasoning and pepper in a paper bag.
- Shake the chicken in the bag.
- Beat the egg slightly and add to the milk.
- Dip the chicken pieces in this and then shake again in the bag.
- Heat oil in a heavy skillet to measure 1/2 inch.
- Cook the chicken until golden brown.
- Transfer to shallow baking pan.
- Cover and bake in a moderate oven (350*) for 20 minutes.
- Uncover and cook 10 minutes longer to crisp.
- Make sure chicken is done before serving.
