Cool Cookie Crumble

  1. Dissolve gelatin completely in boiling water, stirring three minutes.
  2. Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups.
  3. Add gelatin and stir until slightly thickened.
  4. If necessary, remove unmelted ice.
  5. using a wire whip, blend whipped topping, then whip until smooth.
  6. Chill until mixture will mound, about 15 minutes.
  7. Crumble half a cookie in each of 8 to 10 dessert glasses.
  8. Spoon in gelatin mixture, filling glasses only half full.
  9. Top with another crumbled half cookie, then fill glasses with remaining gelatin mixture.
  10. Chill 2 hours.
  11. Garnish with whipped topping and cookies if desired.
