Vidalia Onion & Bacon Flatbread

  1. Bring onions, water and salt to boil in medium saucepan on medium heat; simmer on low heat 30 min.
  2. or until onions are tender, stirring occasionally.
  3. Drain.
  4. Meanwhile, cook bacon in skillet on medium heat until crisp, stirring frequently; drain.
  5. When ready to serve,
  6. For each serving: Grill 1 pita on medium-high heat 1 min.
  7. on each side or just until grill-marked on both sides.
  8. Spread with 1/4 cup cream cheese; top with 1 cup onions, 1/2 cup bacon and 1 tsp.
  9. thyme.
  10. Place in half-sheet pan.
  11. Bake in 375 degrees F convection oven 2 to 3 min.
  12. or until heated through.
  13. Cut into 4 pieces.
