Vickys Jam Roly Poly

  1. Preheat the oven to gas 6/ 200C/ 400F
  2. Put flour, suet, baking powder & salt in a bowl and add enough water to form a non-sticky dough, between 60-90mls usually
  3. When it starts to get doughy, knead in the sugar
  4. Flour your work surface and roll the dough into a square around 5mm thick
  5. Spread with jam then roll up into a sausage shape, jam on inside
  6. Put on a lined baking tray, sprinkle with sugar and bake for 30 minutes
  7. Slice and serve warm with custard.
