Almond Honey Granola
- 14 cup oil
- 14 cup honey
- 12 teaspoon almond extract (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
- 3 cups old fashioned oats
- 12 cup wheat germ
- 14 cup almonds, coarsely chopped
- 14 cup natural bran (optional) or 14 cup sunflower seeds (optional) or 14 cup sesame seeds (optional)
- 12-1 cup raisins or 12-1 cup dates or 12-1 cup fig, chopped
- Preheat oven to 300F.
- Heat first three ingredients together in a big pot; stir in next three ingredients one at a time.
- Spread onto a cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes; stir and continue to bake for an additional 5 or 10 minutes until granola barely begins to turn golden (take care not to overbake).
- Cool; add dried fruit.
- Store in a tightly covered jar.
