Basic Rye Bread Recipe

• 1 c. water plus
• 2 Tbsp. water
• 2 Tbsp. molasses
• 1 Tbsp. butter
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 1/2 c. bread flour
• 1 c. medium-grnd rye flour
• 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
• 1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
• 3/4 tsp caraway seed, whole or possibly powdered
• 2 tsp bread machine yeast

1. Place all ingredients in your machine in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer.
2. Select the Whole Wheat, Grain, Basic or possibly White cycle and press start.
3. This recipe yields 1 loaf.
4. Yield: 1 loaf
