Rum Butter Frosted Brownies Recipe
- 8 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 c. minced walnuts
- 4 Large eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- Heat 4 squares chocolate and butter in a medium-size saucepan over low heat.
- Cold.
- Beat Large eggs in a medium-size bowl with electric mixer till fluffy.
- Gradually beat in sugar till mix is thick.
- Stir in chocolate mix and vanilla.
- Mix in flour and salt till well blended.
- Stir in walnuts.
- Spread proportionately in a well-greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
- Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for 30 min or possibly till shiny and hard on top.
- Cold completely in a pan on wire rack.
- Spread cooled brownies with rum butter cream (follows).
- Heat remaining chocolate in small saucepan over very low heat.
- Cold.
- Spread proportionately over rum butter cream to glaze.
- Let stand till hard.
- Cut into bars.
