Hot Doggity Pizza
- 1 lb pizza dough (or 1 recipe easy no yeast pizza dough, makes two 7inch pizzas)
- 2 teaspoons olive oil, divided
- 12 cup tomato sauce, divided
- 2 low-fat hot dogs, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 cup low fat mozzarella, shredded
- 12 cup green bell pepper, sliced thinly
- 14 cup sweet onion, quartered and sliced thinly
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Make pizza dough according to Chef Joey Z's directions 1-5.
- Shape dough into two balls.
- Flatten with hands and shape into two 7 inch discs.
- Place each disc onto lightly oiled cookie sheet.
- Let rest a few minutes while you prepare the toppings.
- Spread 1 teaspoons olive oil over each pizza crust.
- Spread 1/4 cup tomato sauce over each pizza.
- Scatter sliced hot dogs over pizzas and top each with 1/2 cup mozzarella.
- Scatter green peppers and onions over top, or choose your own toppings.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.
