Cheese Rarebit
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 23 cup hot milk
- saltine crackers or toast points
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and whirl at high speed until smooth.
- Bring water to a boil in a double boiler, reduce heat to simmer, pour in ingredients from blender in double boiler.
- heat stirring occasionally with wire wisk until melted and hot.
- Serve over saltine crackers or toast points.
