Brazilian Chicken Stroganoff
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
- 2 cup sliced white mushrooms
- 1 medium onion,diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup white wine (or chicken stock)
- 3/4 cup heavy cream (or sour cream)
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp oil
- Heat oil in pan and brown chicken until no longer pink.
- Add diced onions and garlic, cook until onion translucent.
- Add mushroom until just soft, add salt, pepper, paprika and nutmeg.
- Add white wine, then ketchup, mustard, tomato sauce.
- Add heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Allow to simmer for 10 min for the flavors to combine.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
