Stir Fried Spicy Miso Konnyaku
- 450 grams Konnyaku block
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 or 1 Minced ginger
- 1/2 tsp Coriander seed powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Sugar (I used brown sugar)
- 1 tbsp Miso
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Fish sauce or soy sauce
- Pierce the konnyaku with a fork to make it easier to absorb flavor.
- Cut to about 1 cm thick.
- Soak in hot water to remove the harshness.
- Heat a frying pan with olive oil and cumin seeds.
- Turn down to low, try not to burn them.
- When the cumin seeds start crackling, add the ginger.
- When it is aromatic, add and dissolve the miso.
- When the miso has dissolved, add the konnyaku.
- Cook on medium heat until the liquid is nearly gone.
- Finally pour in the nam pla fish sauce to season.
- Then it's done!
