Lime Grilled Steak with Smoky Cilantro Butter
- 2 whole Limes, Juiced
- 1/2 teaspoons Chipotle Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
- 2- 1/2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 whole New York Strip Steak
- Kosher Salt And Pepper
- 3 Tablespoons Softened Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Chopped Cilantro
- 18 teaspoons Chipotle Chili Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Cumin
- 18 teaspoons Liquid Smoke
- 18 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- 18 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- Mix lime juice, chipotle chili powder, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper to make a marinade.
- Pour marinade in a gallon bag with the steak and marinate for at least 5 hours or overnight.
- For the smoky butter, mix all the ingredients together.
- Set aside.
- Remove steak from marinade, trim fat and cut in half.
- I always split a steak with my husband so we are not eating too much beef.
- Sprinkle steaks with a little kosher salt on each side.
- Grill for 3-5 minutes on each side depending on how you like your steak cooked.
- Remove from heat and allow steak to rest for 1-2 minutes before serving.
- Serve steaks topped with smoky cilantro butter.
- Serve corn with this dish and you can use the extra butter on the corn.
