Mint Julep Moderne

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  2. Place the sugar in a heatproof container; pour water over sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Pack mint into the sugar water and press with a plate to submerge the mint below the water.
  4. Cover and let sit overnight.
  5. Strain and reserve.
