Mom's Sweet 'N Sour Pork Recipe
- 3 lbs. Farmer Style spare ribs
- Salt and pepper
- 1 c. onion, diced finely
- 1/2 c. green pepper, diced
- 2 c. Hunt's tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 c. vinegar (cider or possibly wine)
- 1 (16 ounce.) can pineapple tidbits and syrup
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper.
- Place in shallow roasting pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hrs.
- Carefully drain off all excess fat.
- While ribs are roasting, mix remaining ingredients and stand to blend flavors.
- Pour over ribs after they've finished baking.
- Bake an additional 45 to 50 min longer, basting frequently to coat ribs with sauce.
- Makes 4 servings.
- Goes well with rice.
