Basic Miso Soup

  1. Rinse Wakame.
  2. Cover with water and soak for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove rib and dice.
  4. Meanwhile, bring 4 cups water to a boil.
  5. Add onions, simmer for 3 minutes.
  6. Add carrots and Wakame, simmer for 5 more minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and add dissolved miso, stirring in well.
  8. Do not boil once miso is added.
  9. Garnish with green onions and serve.
