Classic BLT with a Slight Twist
- 6 strips Bacon
- 4 slices Tomato (Make Sure It Is Firm And Ripe)
- Salt
- 1/2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 4 slices Rye Bread
- 4 Tablespoons Cream Cheese
- 2 pieces Leaf Lettuce
- Start off by cooking bacon on medium heat in a skillet.
- While the bacon is cooking, slice the tomato and season both sides with a pinch of salt.
- Next, mix together the bread crumbs and Italian seasoning.
- You are then going to dip both sides of the tomato in the bread crumb mixture, making sure both sides are coated very well.
- After the bacon is done cooking, place it on a paper towel to drain off any excess oil.
- Clean the pan and return to the stove.
- Heat olive oil in the skillet and then place the slices of breaded tomato in the pan and cook on both sides, about 2 minutes each.
- When done, lay flat on a paper towel to dry.
- Meanwhile, toast your bread, then spread the cream cheese on both slices.
- Layer lettuce, tomato, and bacon on your toast and ENJOY!
