Handmade Bread
- 3 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Softened butter
- 2 tbsp Powdered Milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 envelope Active dry yeast
- 1 1/3 cup Lukewarm water
- 1 loaf Baking Pan
- 1 large Bowl
- Add 3 cups Flour in large bowl.
- Next, add 2 tbs sugar and powdered milk.
- Add 1 tsp salt to on side and 1 envelope Active dry yeast to separate side.
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add 2 tbs softened butter.
- Add 1 cup lukewarm water.
- Mix ingredients in bowl until dough forms, scraping excess ingredients from sides of bowl and kneading into dough.
- If dough is too dry, add small amounts of remaining 1/3 cup Lukewarm water until elasticity is correct.
- If dough is too sticky, add small amounts of flour.
- Shape dough into sphere by folding into itself on bottom and place in towel covered bowl.
- Place bowl in warm place to let dough rise.
- Preheat oven to 350F Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) while dough rises.
- Spray or grease loaf pan if necessary.
- Once dough has risen to twice its original size, knead again into loaf shape.
- Let dough rise again in loaf pan before placing into preheated oven.
- Bake until top is browned.
