Almond-Cherry Mold

  1. Drain cherries, reserving syrup.
  2. Add enough cold water to syrup to measure 1-1/2 cups.
  3. Cut cherries in half.
  4. Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min.
  5. until completely dissolved.
  6. Stir in cherry liquid and almond extract.
  7. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened.
  8. Stir in cherries.
  9. Pour into 5-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray.
  10. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
  11. Unmold.
  12. Top with COOL WHIP and nuts just before serving.
