Marinated Brisket
- 6 lbs trimmed beef brisket
- 2 cups chili sauce
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 1 12 cups red wine vinegar
- 2 large sweet onions, chopped
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup catsup
- Mix all ingredients together and pour over brisket.
- Marinate in refrigerator over night.
- Place in covered roasting pan and bake at 350 degrees until tender, basting occasionally.
- It will need to cook for 3-4 hours at least.
- IT's best if cooled, sliced and allowed to sit in the gravy before serving.
- IT's even better the next day.
