Seriously Simple Beef Stew
- 1 boneless beef chuck eye roast (2 lb.), cut into 1-inch chunks
- 2 cups water
- 3/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
- 1-1/2 lb. baking potatoes (about 3), cut into 1-inch chunks Safeway 2 pkg For $5.00 thru 02/09
- 6 carrots, peeled, cut into 1-inch-thick slices
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1/4 cup A.1. Thick & Hearty Sauce
- Bring meat, water and barbecue sauce to boil in Dutch oven or large deep skillet; cover.
- Simmer on medium-low heat 1 hour.
- Add vegetables; stir.
- Cook, covered, 1 hour or until meat and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in steak sauce; cook 2 min.
