cheese stuffed/filled onions
- 1 tbsp butter cut up
- 2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 1 tbsp beef bouillon granules
- 4 large sweet vidalia onions
- preheat oven to 350.cut a thin slice from top & bottom of each onion.remove the onion skin,core onion but don't go all the way thru the onion leave the bottom leaving 1 inch shell due the same to all onions
- fold 4(24x18 inch) sheets of heavy duty foil in half making 4(12x18 inch) pieces.
- place one onion core sode up in center of each sheet.
- dot with butter, sprinkle with bouillon.
- bring opposite foil edges together & seal with two folds down.fold the side edges together to completely enclose onion bit leave room for expansion
- place foiled onions on a baking sheet,put in oven, bake 35 minutes or until onions are tender.open carefully sprinkle cheese and season with salt amd pepper to taste, close them back up amd bake 5 more minutes or till cheese melts.
- serve warm
