Shrimp & Scallops With Cheese Sauce Recipe

  1. Heat butter in top of double boiler, add in cornstarch and stir to create a smooth paste.
  2. Slowly stir in lowfat milk, cook, stirring constantly, till it thickens and comes to a boil.
  3. Add in cheese and stir till melted.
  4. Add in next 6 ingredients, remove from heat.
  5. Poach scallops about 10 min in simmering water with 1 tsp.
  6. lemon juice and some salt.
  7. Remove scallops, add in 1/2 c. of this to cheese sauce, stir.
  8. Saute/fry mushrooms in butter and add in to sauce.
  9. Add in scallops and shrimp and heat.
  10. Garnish with green pepper and serve with rice.
  11. Serves 6 to 8.
