Two Bean Tostada
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Black Beans
- 1 can (16 Oz. Can) Refried Beans
- 1/4 cups Water
- 1 pinch Garlic Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Cumin
- 1/4 teaspoons Chopped Jalapeno, Or To Taste
- 4 pieces Tortillas
- 1/4 cups Cooking Oil, Or More If Needed
- 2 cups Torn Lettuce
- 1/2 cups Shredded Cheese
- 1/4 cups Salsa Of Your Choice
- Sour Cream To Garnish
- Start by adding refried beans and water to a sauce pan.
- Heat to medium/high and stir frequently.
- Add all seasonings and chopped jalapeno, continue to stir, then turn to low and stir occasionally.
- Begin to heat a fry pan with the oil.
- When oil is bubbly, fry tortilla one at a time until crispy.
- Place black beans in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes until hot.
- When ready to serve, start by placing a crispy tortilla on a plate and spread with desired amount of refried bean mixture.
- Top with desired amount of black beans, lettuce, salsa, cheese, and sour cream.
- Makes about 4 servings.
