Bite-Sized Chocolate Chip Pies with Frozen Puff Pastry

  1. Defrost the frozen puff pastries and thinly brush on a beaten egg.
  2. Sprinkle chocolate chips all over, and lightly press down.
  3. Preheat the oven to 230C.
  4. Wrap up tightly, starting with the edge closest to you.
  5. Tightly secure the ends.
  6. Cut 1 roll into 10 even pieces, and thinly brush with the egg.
  7. Sprinkle with granulated sugar if you like.
  8. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes at 210C, turn down the temperature to 170C, and bake for another 8 minutes.
  9. They are crispy and tasty browned from baking.
