Bean Casserole

  1. Soak beans overnight or at least 2 hours.
  2. Rinse and cook until fork-tender.
  3. Drain.
  4. Saute or brown ground beef, onions, peppers and garlic; salt and pepper.
  5. Drain off any excess oil.
  6. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  7. In a casserole dish, layer beans, meat mixture and cheese.
  8. Continue to layer until casserole dish is full.
  9. Spread topping of cheese on top and bake in 350u0b0 to 375u0b0 oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  10. Let cool and serve warm or cold.
