Beef Rice Bowl (Gyudon) in 10 Minutes
- 250 grams Chopped Beef
- 1/2 Onion
- 2 stalks Japanese leek
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 6 tbsp Sake
- 6 tbsp Soy sauce
- Slice the onion thinly.
- Slice the Japanese leek diagonally into 5 mm thick pieces.
- Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces.
- Before turning on the heat, add the sliced onion, Japanese leek, sugar, sake, and soy sauce into a pan and cover it.
- Turn on the heat and simmer the ingredients over high heat.
- When it comes to a rapid boil, and the onions are golden, add the beef and mix (leave the heat on high).
- Once the color of the beef changes completely, turn off the heat.
- Scoop some rice into a bowl, serve the beef mixture on top and it is done.
- Sprinkle some red pickled ginger if desired.
