Devil Dogs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 cup cocoa
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 cup shortening
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 13 cup evaporated milk
- 12 cup Crisco
- 12 cup sugar
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Cookies:.
- Sift dry ingredients together and add shortening, milk, vanilla and eggs; mix well.
- Drop on very lightly greased cookie sheet, 1 tablespoon at a time, spreading with back of spoon to make them long or round.
- Bake 5 minutes at 425.
- Filling:.
- Beat 5 minutes with electric beater and spread between 2 cookies.
