Devil Dogs

  1. Cookies:.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together and add shortening, milk, vanilla and eggs; mix well.
  3. Drop on very lightly greased cookie sheet, 1 tablespoon at a time, spreading with back of spoon to make them long or round.
  4. Bake 5 minutes at 425.
  5. Filling:.
  6. Beat 5 minutes with electric beater and spread between 2 cookies.
