Red Devil Snack Cakes

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Grease 15x10x1-inch baking pan; set aside.
  3. Combine 1 cup butter, water and cocoa in 3-quart saucepan.
  4. Cook over medium heat 6-7 minutes or until mixture just comes to a boil.
  5. Remove pan from heat; add flour, sugar and salt; mix well.
  6. Add sour cream, eggs and baking soda; beat at medium speed, scraping pan often, until well mixed.
  7. Add food color; continue beating until well mixed.
  8. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  9. Bake 19-21 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Cut cake into 5 (3-inch) rows, starting at 15-inch side.
  12. Cut through rows diagonally to create 25 (approximately 3 1/4-inch) equilateral triangles.
  13. Discard scrapes or eat as snack.
  14. Combine all frosting ingredients except half & half in bowl.
  15. Beat at medium speed, adding enough half & half for desired spreading consistency.
  16. Frost 1 triangle at a time; decorate to create devil face.
  17. Store in container with tight-fitting lid or cover with plastic food wrap.
