Hearty Meat Pasta Sauce

  1. In a large hot sauce pan, add 1 Tbsp of Olive oil, and brown ground beef and turkey, season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Put aside once browned, strain out any fat.
  3. Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil to large hot sauce pan.
  4. Add onion, celery, carrot, garlic, mushrooms, red peppers, haberno peppers.
  5. Stir and sautee for 2-3 minutes, until onions an celery begin to brown.
  6. Add tyme, rosemary, oregano, celery seed, salt and pepper.
  7. Mix well to incorperate all herbs and spices.
  8. Add browned meat, stirring well.
  9. Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and paste.
  10. Stir to completely mix.
  11. Add Basil and Bay leaves.
  12. Bring to a boil on medium high heat.
  13. Reduce to a simmer for 1-2 hours.
