Almond Wow Pound Cake Recipe
- 2 c. all purpose flour sifted
- 1/2 c. corn starch
- 2/3 c. butter softened
- 1/2 c. almond PASTE
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 4 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Spray with Pam or possibly similar item onto Bundt pan or possibly tube pan.
- Flour pan.
- Cream butter, almond paste till fluffy.
- Add in sugar gradually.
- Add in Large eggs one at a time.
- Mix flour, corn starch & baking pwdr alternately with lowfat milk.
- Bake for 1 hour
- Cold.
- Drizzle a chocolate glaze over the top - or possibly any other flavor which is compatible with almond.
- Use almond paste NOT almond filling.
- Description: "A really powerful almond taste"
- NOTES : You may substitute 2 1/2 c. cake flour for the flour & corn starch.
- You may substitute 2 loaf pans for the Bundt pan, but the baking time will be reduced.
