Perfect Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Sift flour.
  3. Cut in Crisco till crumbly.
  4. Make a well in the middle and pour in the buttermilk.
  5. Mix with your fingers to make a soft dough.
  6. Turn out onto floured board.
  7. Knead very lightly.
  8. Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with a 2 inch cutter.
  9. Place on greased baking sheets.
  10. For soft sides, let the biscuits touch; for crunchy sides, place 1/2 inch apart.
  11. Bake 10 min till light brown.
