Chilled Butterscotch Dessert Recipe
- 2 (4 ounce.) pkg. reg. butterscotch pudding mix
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. finely minced nuts
- 1 c. confectioners' sugar
- 1 carton non-dairy whipped topping
- Prepare pudding mix with 3 c. lowfat milk following package instructions.
- Turn into bowl, cover with plastic and cold completely.
- Cut butter into flour using pastry blender or possibly finger tips as for pie crust; stir in nuts, press mix into 13 x 9 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min.
- Cold thoroughly.
- Beat cheese with sugar till light and fluffy.
- Mix in 1 c. whipped topping.
- Spread over crust.
- Spoon pudding over cheese layer and cover with remaining whipped topping refrigerateseveral hrs or possibly overnight.
- Makes 24 servings.
