Apple Pie Made with an Easy Pie Crust
- 150 grams Plain white flour
- 75 grams Butter or margarine
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 Apples (Jonathans, if available)
- 20 grams Sugar
- 2 tbsp Water
- Make the pie crust: Add the flour and butter to a bowl.
- Mix together with your fingers until crumbly.
- Once the mixture has become crumbly, pour water and bring it all together.
- Wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Make the Filling: Thinly slice the apples.
- Combine the apples, sugar, and water into a saucepan and boil on low heat until soft.
- Take out the pie crust, roll it out thinly, and cut out the shapes.
- Spoon the filling on a cut out circle, lay another on top and press down the edges along with a fork.
- Poke a hole in the center with the fork.
- Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and put on the pie crusts.
- Bake for 10 minutes in a 210 degrees C preheated oven, cool on a rack, and they're done!
- Leftover Pie Crusts: It's cute if you fill them with jam and make jam pie.
- Wrap around chocolate to make a chocolate croissant
