Water and Sugar-free! Tasty Simmered Mackerel with 3 Seasonings

  1. Slice the mackerel in half, and chop it into serving sizes.
  2. Place on a flat sieve, then pour boiling water over it to remove the odor.
  3. Bring the mirin and sake to a boil in a pot, evaporate the alcohol, then add the soy sauce and ginger.
  4. Once it comes to a boil, add the mackerel.
  5. Cover with a lid, then simmer for 15 minutes and serve.
