Herbed Cheese and Spinach Puffs

  1. Preheat oven to 400F (unless making ahead).
  2. Squeeze out all excess moisture from spinach.
  3. Blend spinach with cheese and pecans in small bowl.
  4. Place piecrusts or puff pastry sheets on work surface.
  5. Cut 12 circles from dough using 2 1/2-inch round cookie cutter.
  6. Beat egg with 1 Tbs.
  7. water; brush edges of pastry circles with egg wash.
  8. Put 2 tsp.
  9. spinach mixture in center of each round, fold in half and crimp edges with fork to seal.
  10. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  11. Brush tops of pastries with egg wash. Bake 15 to 18 minutes, or until golden.
  12. Serve warm or at room temperature.
